The Suspendek system consists of a light-weight traversing cradle suspended from aluminium rails which are launched from the bridge deck and attached by girder eye-bolts.

The system is safe, portable and flexible enough to enable repair work to begin within half an hour of the bridge gang's arrival on site, and while in use it will allow the normal flow of traffic.
